Con Citrix XenApp 6.5 ed il set di tools PowerShell Script Citrix App Delivery Setup Tools il desktop Shared è diventato veramente molto interessante e ben presentabile agli utenti finali: si fatica veramente a vedere la differenza estetica rispetto ad un ambiente Windows 7 utilizzando il puro VDI.
All’inizio della sua distribuzione l’unica lingua supportata era l’inglese: su tutte le altre MUI gli script andavano in errore e quindi occorreva personalizzare il desktop a mano al primo accesso (abbastanza semplice in ambiente con pochi utenti).
Successivamente tramite l’articolo CTX130208 – Issues and Workarounds Related to the Citrix App Delivery Setup Tools Feature in a Localized Environment Citrix ha esteso il supporto alle MUI per le lingue:

- Traditional Chinese

Disponibile su AppStore la nuova release 4.2.1 di Citrix Receiver for iPad, il client per accedere alla propria infrastruttura Citrix XenDesktop e XenApp dal tablet di casa Apple.
Il software, come presentato qualche tempo fa durante una presentazione Citrix, porta nuove features e il pieno supporto al Multitasking di iOS 4.2.

Il giorno che molti di noi addetti al settore aspettavano è arrivato: è finalmente disponibile per il download Citrix XenDesktop 5!
La nuova release di XenDesktop, annunciata durante il Citrix Synergy 2010 di Berlino ad Ottobre, rende il prodotto XenDesktop veramente maturo e pronto per la distribuzione del Desktop come “servizio” su tutti i fronti.

Ricordo che la release del prodotto è destinata solamente alla fase di test ed è una release Alpha 1 (con probabilmente molti problemi)
Zenoss 3.0 includes a large number of bug fixes, runs on Python 2.6 and Zope 2.12 and has a completely redesigned user interface. The new user interface features an updated framework, new navigation layout and many redesigned pages. This will also be important for ZenPack authors, as this is the first time that they can test their ZenPack’s compatibility with the latest UI changes and see how things work with the new user interface.
